1. After
a busy and stressful day at work (or even at home), the last thing you want to do is turn on
the TV and have your mind filled with all of the bad news and violent happenings
in the world. If there is something that is important for you to know, be
assured that you will soon hear about it from a colleague at work or a member of
your family. Instead, put on a relaxing music CD and unwind. As the music
plays, let your thoughts of the day drift from your mind and as you replay your
day in your minds eye, be grateful and at peace.
2. Lighting
a candle at Dinner time or putting on one of your favorite aromatherapy oils can
help you to relax by opening up your senses.
3. Read
some inspirational articles or books.
4. Meditate.
You can use specific meditation CD’s or just sit in silence and let your
thoughts drift by. Do not try to change them, just be and let the thoughts
float away.
5. Take
a walk through a park, rainforest or beach.
6. Watch
an inspirational movie.
7. ULTRA
RELAXATION- If you have a little more time take a nice long hot bubble bath.
Take
an uplifting book and cup of tea with you. Sprinkle some aromatherapy oils to reawaken
your senses and create a relaxing mood.
8. Sip
some herbal tea or have a soothing glass of milk with honey to help
ease you into sleep.
(Mums old remedies do still work!)
